Patients with the allergy to the active component of this medicine must avoid using it. If you have kidney stones, or if a gout attack has already begun, this drug may be ineffective.

Inform your doctor if you suffer from the following diseases: kidney dysfunction, uric acid kidney stones, anemia (a decrease in the total amount of red blood cells in the blood) and stomach ulcers. Inform your physician about other drugs you’re currently taking. If you’re pregnant or planning a pregnancy, you should take the drug only if the benefits of the treatment exceed the possible risks.

Adverse effects

The most common adverse effects caused by the use of this drug are: urination frequency, sore throat, sickness, lack of appetite, vomiting, hair loss, skin rashes, etc. If you note severe adverse effects, you should contact your doctor at once. They include severe pain in your lower back or side, bleeding during urination, swelling, fever, confusion, fatigue and a pale skin.
